The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, also known as Section 8, assists families with their rent while they reside in privately owned properties in the community. Applicant’s income must not exceed income limits below at the time applicant is selected.

The Project-Based Voucher (PBV) program assists clients with their rent while they reside in a specific unit that is covered by a long-term housing assistance payment contract.

To qualify for these types of subsidized housing, the Head of Household must be 18 years or older and the total household income must not exceed the limits listed below:

The Affordable Housing Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, participants do not receive rental assistance. Applicants’ monthly income must be 2x the monthly rental rate and not exceed the income limits listed below: Section 8 Vouchers will be accepted.

OCCUPANCY STANDARDS

  • Persons of the opposite sex (other than spouses, and children under age 5) will not be required to share a bedroom.
  • Persons of different generations will not be required to share a bedroom.
  • Live-in aides will be allocated a separate bedroom. No additional bedrooms will be provided for the live-in aide’s family.
  • Single person families will be allocated a zero or one bedroom.
  • Foster children will be included in determining unit size.

Waiting Lists

Applications for waiting lists may be discontinued at any time if the program reaches capacity.
